As well as the vietnam expansion, Not many players are playing on that. Theirs always 3-4 conquest servers that are full. The Awol & grill and bar servers especially. Even some of the other country servers if your ping can take it.Theirs atleast 2 very active TDM servers.Rush and squad rush are pretty much dead.And tho Vietnam itself is dead, there is a modded.30xp vietnam server on the main bc2 conquest list that is always active. You can play it without even buying vietnam.

As we all know, Battlefields Campaign has been very underwhelming for awhile now. Honestly who says “I bought Battlefield just for the story” I personally have never heard someone say that. Games like this Red Orchestra, Insurgency, Titanfall, and Rainbow Six Siege have proofed that you don’t need a campaign to make a good game.I’ve seen countless people mention on the forums and Reddit to add bots again.

It adds replayability, once people move on to the next game what happens? You find only a handful of servers populated and everyone moves on to the next title. Another thing that I find useful is having the ability to practice offline, without worrying about dying to improve. Battlefield isn’t an arcade shooter, if you want to play with a certain weapon, you have to learn that gun.
Not to mention, if you don’t enjoy the weapon while spawning, you’re stuck with it until you die.Another cool feature is being able to play with a friend or family member that’s over. You can’t do it in multiplayer and would be cool to have more games with splitcreen again, it’s practically non existent nowadays. Another point I’d like to make is some people don’t have the luxury of having internet and want to play the game, some people just don’t wanna have to deal with sweaty try hards on Battlefield and want to casually enjoy the game.These are my reasons for preferring bots over a campaign. I know they said it would be too cost efficient, but if they dropped the campaigns every release, I think it would add a lot more to the game. I quite enjoyed BF1s stories, they were very cinematic, kind of like playing out a movie.
That's unique to the period IMO though, they might get away with it if they're highlighting past wars again but it wouldn't work as well for a modern day or futuristic shooter.I'm all for adding a singleplayer or coop (or even LAN) mode that's just multiplayer maps with bots. Friends and I used to play with the SP mod for 2142 and it was definitely enjoyable.
Split Screen COD with bots has been hit and miss but there's always been something fun to couch Coop with a buddy and I'd love to see that in a BF game.
