It's a bit shocking to see Graces pick up momentum and get ahead of every other Tales game being translated by fans (Hearts, Destiny PS2, Destiny 2, and I think Phantasia for the PS1). And all of the other games have been in the translation process for months.:lol. Welcome to Tales of Graces.com, the former site of the fan translation. The official localization of the game has been announced by Namco, so the project has been discontinued. Fans of the series should buy the game when it is released to ensure a future for Tales games in the West!
This project is a translation of text and textures into Russian language.Version 0.1 is to be considered a trial version, and translation takes 33% out of the all the content. Due to UNDUB version being available we have positioned a choice for players to choose which file ((rootR.cpk) you’d like to patch - with English voices or undubbed. Translation was done from Japanese language for the most part. If we take into account that English translation mostly differs from English version, you should expect English voiceover not to match with Russian subtitles. 3085d ago (Edited 3085d ago )I'm not one of the disagree-ers, but:'If all goes according to plan, the team is expecting to have the translation complete and an English patch released sometime this year.' I get your point that it's a labor of love, and these things can be set back by a family emergency or something, but they're also dedicated fans. Just one of these guys probably has the rigor of ten hired hands for a typical localization. When they set a goal, they're shooting for it because they love the series.What I especially dislike about this article is the title. Firefox keeps logging me out of sites on youtube.
It should read 'Tales of Graces/Vesperia English Fan Translation Coming.' That's 100% more accurate by adding three letters. 3086d ago (Edited 3086d ago )They don't make it clear whether or not you need hacking device for your console in this article.The article may state that, but visiting their website says you need PSDowngrade/PSJailbreak and FW3.50 or below to use the patch. And they don't promote piracy, that doesn't stop people from downloading the game and loading the patch up still. How many of those who own one of those tools, have the actually game?

The jailbreaking is only required so that you can download and deliver the translation patch in the first place.The recent cracking of the PS3's signing keys means that people will likely be able to download and run the patch without having to downgrade or break open the system and install a Jailbreak device at all. 3086d ago (Edited 3086d ago )ah didn't see the Anti-Piracy thingthis is what got me when i visited there site'Beyond the demo, firmware 3.50 downgraders are now out. We can now guarantee that the full game patch will be acessible for any PS3 on firmware 3.50 or below. We can not at this time guarantee higher firmwares (3.55 or above), but we will keep you posted if new developments occ'Although they said it's for the original copy, they never stated whether or not it would be released across the Network or would this just be availble to those with hacked consoles. Same with their other Translation patched, they all seem to run around Jailbreak/Downgrader.They do make it very clear though in this that you do need those devices.
