Cleef, Lee van, born on in Somerville, was an American film actor who appeared mostly in Western and action pictures. Van Cleef served in the United States Navy aboard minesweepers and sub chasers during World War II, there is not much known of this period in the marines. After the war he worked as an office administrator, becoming involved in amateur theatrics in his spare time.
